Yiloga! Tiwi Footy exhibition comes to the National Sports Museum in Melbourne

Open until 17 July 2011, Yiloga! Tiwi Footy is a new exhibition at the National Sports Museum at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) exploring the influence and importance of Australian Football in the lives of  this small indigenous community in the Timor Sea. Yiloga! (meaning ‘footy’ in the local Tiwi language) showcases photographs, guernseys (traditional football jerseys) and memorabilia, highlighting the Tiwi community’s passion for the game as well as its positive impact on community life.
